According to Public Relations, on April 18, 2025, Dr. Ramazon Safarzoda, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Avicenna Tajik State Medical University in Dushanbe, visited Royan Stem Cell Technology Company and toured various sections of this scientific and technological complex.
Following the visit, a meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Morteza Zarrabi, CEO of Royan Stem Cell Technology Company. In this meeting, while emphasizing the cultural, scientific, and historical commonalities between Iran and Tajikistan, the parties discussed the capacities for joint cooperation in areas related to stem cells, cord blood banking, and new medical technologies.
During the meeting, Dr. Zarrabi highlighted the pivotal role of Royan Stem Cell Technology Company in developing cord blood banking in the country and introduced the company's latest achievements in cell therapy, products derived from birth annexes, and the application of stem cells in treating intractable diseases. He also announced the company's readiness to transfer knowledge, hold joint training courses, and develop research projects with Avicenna Tajik State Medical University and Tajikistan's Ministry of Health.
In response, Dr. Safarzoda praised Iran's scientific advancements in stem cell technology and expressed the interest of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University and Tajikistan's healthcare network in establishing formal collaborations in the field of stem cells and cord blood banking.
He emphasized that the experiences of Royan Stem Cell Technology Company could provide a suitable platform for the transfer of knowledge and technology to Tajikistan.
This visit was conducted to develop international scientific collaborations and expand technology diplomacy in new medical fields, including Royan Cord Blood Bank and cell therapy.
