The 4th Oman Health Exhibition is going to run tomorrow, 9th,Sep,2014 and Royan Stem Cell Technology CO has attended it. During a 3-day exhibition, pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers producing medical instruments, along with hospitals, clinics and other enterprises whose interests fall on health/medical tourism , either state-oriented ones or those in private sectors, involved in health issues, will gather to expose their products, achievements and services. 

Such exhibitions will also provide an environment of exchanging experiences and views on mutual interests which can be performed under the umbrella of bilateral understanding so that crucial measures can be taken toward human health, equity and humanity and all people can enjoy a healthy life.

The First ECO Confobition on Health and Tourism

       ECO State members held the first Confobition (Conference and Exhibition) on health and tourism here in Iran, Mazandaran Province, Ramsar, on 18-20 August, 2014. This 3-day conference and exhibition attracted participants of different medical and research universities, travel agencies, folkloric handicraft manufacturers and those who are interested and involved in this field of industry either directly or indirectly. Lectures were made during the conference panels through which the lecturers brought the health tourism industry under focus of attention of various aspects. The main points of concern fell on the advantages of health tourism, the future perspective and potential barriers to be overcome.

       Royan Institute and Royan Cord Blood Bank also attended this confobition and held their stand during the exhibition. Further, lectures were made by Dr.Zarrabi, managing director of Cord Blood Bank CO; concerned with achievements made in Royan Institute and Cord Blood Bank and the infrastructures created and available in these two companies to collaborate with all ECO State Members so that all members can draw benefit of the potentials in hand and improve health Tourism conditions among all ECO State Members. One of the points brought up with DR.Zarrabi, was concerned with the efforts made in regard with health tourism development whereas all of them were in vain so far, due mainly to this fact they all appear with lack of coalition and consensus. Hence holding such conferences and gatherings will be of great advantage for all member states to bring their mutual goals and purposes on the right track.

     The second lecture was made by Mr.Masoud Sadeh Del who approached health tourism industry according to various market segmentation and represented methods to achieve a suitable solution for market segmentation.

       Royan Institute and Royan Cord Blood Bank declared to welcome all suggestions and recommendations on holding and running health/medical tourism projects to be held in all ECO State Members.

      A symposium on “Stem Cells, their applications, potentials and approaches toward the future” was held here in Qazvin on 17^th, June,2014, in an association with Royan Cord Blood Bank in Tehran and Jihad Daneshgahi in Qazvin Provience.

     This symposium, held in gathering hall of Velayat Hospital, was highly welcomed and attended by groups of outstanding professors, and researchers. The main topics the symposium was concerned with were discussed about throughout the sessions included cord blood stem cells banking procedures, the nature of these cells and the adoption procedures of cord blood donators.  

           Through this exhibition, Royan Cord Blood Bank,  publicized its services and products and we belive by heart  taking such measures will lead to clarification the misunderstanding people may have got in regard with this field of industry and relevant medical and molcular science and technology.

           We also assume it as our responsibility to step in all fields of medical science and technology  and do our utmost to provide people with the latest means of grabing a healthy life style nationwide and worldwide.

The End-Of-Year meeting and celebration was held in KOWSAR GATHERING HALL in CORD BLOOD BANK headquarter office in Tehran on 12^th,March, 2014. During this celebration, a lecture was represented by Dr.Zarrabi, Managing Director of company, briefing accomplishments made so far and marked this fact that all the achievements made owe to the great job done by every single of the staff who have worked untiringly under the umbrella of mutual understanding and cooperation.

Following that the report of annual survey was represented based on which the future perspective and goals of the company will be drawn up. The rate of self-satisfaction was among other issues brought up in this meeting and related interfering factors were debated.

In the end of this gathering, the staff chosen by different departments received their prizes and some other sort of prizes went to some members who had a key role in the company.

The meeting was ended with making good wishes and prosperity for all the members among the cheers and laughter of all. 

               In the light of cooperation between Zheen Hospital and Royan Institute,there is going to be a one-day seminar held in Zheen Hospital, Iraq, Erbil, on 13^th, February, 2014. The main topics posed and dealt with through this one-day seminar are concerned and enriched with: Applying Cell Therapy in Treating Heart, Skin and Orthopedic Diseases. This seminar will enjoy some lectures to be represented by Dr. Naser Aghdami, The Head of Royan Cell Therapy Dept and Dr.Mohsen Emad-Al-Din, Royan Expert and Orthopedist.

              The  Managing Director of Royan Cord Blood Bank, Dr.Morteza Zarrabi, will be also present throughout this seminar.    

          It should be stated that Iran enjoys great potentials in regard with tourism attractions and bringing her scientific achievements in the field of medical sciences into account, it can play a leading role in Middle East and become one of tourist destinations. Exploiting vast variety of climate and wild life conditions which are world famous in association with her first hand wild life and environment inspiring magnum opus of creation plus Iranians’ traditions and customs are the reasons why Iran can be the main tourist destination. Besides, the financial aspects of Health Tourism should not be ignored.

        To put all these potentials into effect, it demands all related officials, authorities and governors to get actively involved in this area and do their share and provide the most basic facilities for those reliable state and private enterprises who are interested in such phenomena so that the whole nation can draw benefit of the long term opportunities coming along. The absence of related organizations and officials was so explicit through this 2-day conference which we hope to be resolved in coming ones.

            Royan Stem Cell Technology and Cord Blood Bank also attended in this Award and provided the visitors, of a wide range of social groups and levels, with both general and specific information and the latest achievements in regard with cord blood and stem cells which were represented by either Dr. Zarrabi, Managing Director of Royan Stem Cell Technology and Cord Blood Bank and the executive members whose presence was of great advantage for the visitors. 

           It also hosted the esteemed foreign guests in its stand held at the place of congress venue and even at the place of cord blood bank where they could receive an exhaustive view over different departments, procedures and activities conducted through various steps and was accompanied by Dr.Abroon’s explicit explanations. It should be noted that during this visit, a vast variety of topics was debated and a deep exchange of information came into existence.

          Later on, our honorable foreign guests were entertained with a dinner ceremony in an Iranian Traditional Restaurant under a pleasant, friendly and joyful atmosphere.

In an interview with ISNA, Dr.Morteza Zarrabi stated that with the aim of expanding our fields of activities and representing our experience in the realm of Stem Cells in other neighboring Islamic countries, we signed a cooperation contract with Zheen Int’l hospital located in Erbil. He further added that in a close collaboration with Jahad Daneshgahi, Kordestan Branch, we have made all the required arrangements so that there will be one of our staff in Zheen hospital to collect the cord blood samples and send them to Iran. He emphasized that all the procedures will be performed under the latest Int’l standards and will be sent to us via air or land and in case there is an increase in the number of samples, Zheen hospital has got the potentials to run a cord blood bank under the license and supervision of Iran Cord Blood Bank.

          He went on to this fact that holding and running such centers, we will seize the opportunity to interact with other centers involved in this field of science and right now we have just opened negotiations with some more regional and neighboring countries to expand other fields of related activities such as Cell Therapy. No wonder there would be a competition among countries all over the world in this regard and many European countries are pondering to find opportunities in Middle East and that would be the best field to exchange our skills, findings and information considering the cord blood and stem cells regionally and globally.

The 2nd Bio-Tech Exhibition was held in Tehran on 15 January, 2013 and ran for three days. Royan Cord blood Bank attended in this exhibition and represented its lastest achievments in regard with umbilical cord blood cell and stem cells. In the meantime, it was the must fruitful and appropriate place to axchange technical information with other companies which have got common intrest with us both nationwide and worldwide.

Adam: “Did you ever fear he would never have a normal life?”Jennifer: “We thought he wasn’t going to be able to walk. It was heart-wrenching, that we knew this was permanent.” Turns out, it wasn’t permanent. That young boy frustrated by immobility can now stand on his own, and even take a few steps–after a groundbreaking experimental stem cell transfusion. Adam: “Aren’t you walking better now?”Xander: “Yeah.”Adam: “How good does that feel?”Xander: “Great!” The six-year-old can finally climb a fence with his brother. Adam: “You’re so fast now…”Xander: “Yeah!” Xander can practically run across his Eastern Shore farm with his walker. He can even climb the stairs on his swing-set for the first time in his life. All of this possible because Xander’s parents decided to store blood from his umbilical cord when he was born. They never imagined that years later their decision would change their son’s life. Doctor’s believe this amazing transformation came from stem cells extracted from Xander’s own umbilical cord. After undergoing the transfusion, those stem cells repaired Xander’s body. Dr. Frances Verter runs the Parents Guide to Cord Blood Foundation. “What we’re fighting most of all is ignorance. We have to raise awareness,” Dr. Verter said. Storing cord blood is an option many parents are not aware of, but some think it should become routine in the unlikely chance it’s needed. “The goal is for everyone to save the cord blood,” he said. Researchers are also studying how cord blood could someday treat brain injuries, diabetes, heart conditions, cancers and hearing loss. Very few parents of newborns actually sign up for a cord blood registry. Adam: “What would you tell parents?”Jennifer: “I would highly recommend it because you never know what’s going to happen.” Xander’s now in physical therapy to activate muscles that have never been used–and his outlook is promising. Adam: “What do you want to happen in the next few years? Do you think you’ll be able to run someday?” Xander: “Yeah, like my brother, without anything.” And he’s getting there–one step at a time.
