Stem Cells Storage Procedures

Having collected the cord blood sample, it will be investigated according to the volume and cell count. In case the volume is at least 50CC and the cell count comes to 600, the sample will be sent to process lab where it receives some tests such as microbiological, HLA, virus, etc. In the meantime, the family will be kept informed of whether the sample has been accepted according the said criteria or it has failed to meet the preliminary requirements. If everything goes well with the sample, it will be stored in special tanks in -196 centigrade degree for a long time. In the event that the latter case happens, the contract will be terminated and the contract fee will be refunded to family as per the agreement made. The sample frozen will be released just on transplantation purposes.
