Contract Termination Terms and Conditions

To pay a deep respect to human rights and as the crucial steps to be taken while signing and launching a contract, we would like to draw the kind attention of our highly esteemed customers to the terms and conditions under which the contract made on umbilical cord blood storage will be terminated.  

So, it is vitally recommended our honorable customers go through all the stages and articles stipulated hereinafter so that they can find out a thorough understanding of all the procedures ahead.

The terms and conditions of contract termination are categorized into 5 sections as follows:

1- Contraindication due to the mother’s disease (Through the life)

- Disease of unknown origin:

  • Parkinson

- Maternal history of autoimmune disease through the life:

  • Inflammatory bowel disease (crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis)
  • Vasculitis (behcet’s disease, sjogren’s syndrome,…)
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
  • Chronic Sarcoidosis

- History of Disease:

  • Syphilis
  • Brucellosis
  • Tuberculosis
  • AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C
  • Cutaneous Leishmaniasis / Visceral Leishmaniasis (Kala Azar)
  • Malaria
  • Hydatid Cyst
  • Myeloproliferative Disorders
  • Genital Wart (Condyloma  Acuminatum)

- Mother deprived blood donation for reasons other physical weakness and mild anemia

- Medication history of human source such as:

  • Coagulation Factors, Growth Hormone
  • Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG)
  • Serum Albumin and some of assisted reproductive medicine
2- Contraindication due to disease (during the past two years to the time of delivery)

- History of Disease:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Toxoplasmosis
  • Hyperthyroidism and taking Methimazole or Propylthiouracil (PTU)
3- Contraindication due to disease (during the last one year prior to giving birth to)

- Chemotherapy reason other than cancer

- History of Disease:

  • Chicken Pox
  • Rubella
  • Measles
  • Listeriosis
  • Herpes Zoster

- Blood Transfusion and Blood Products by the mother

- Bloodletting, Tattoo

- Genital Herpes

4- Contraindication due to disease (During pregnancy)

- Cytomegaloviruse Infection (CMV)

- Pregnancy using oocyte, sperm and fetus donation or carrying the womb

5- Contraindication due to mother’s tests

- Being Positive:

  • HBS Ag
  • HCV Ab
  • HIV (I/II)

- HTLV (I/II) positive and followed by HTLV PCR positive

- VDRL or RPR positive and followed by FTA-abs positive

- HBS Ag negative but HBS Ab positive without history of hepatitis vaccination and followed with HBV PCR positive

- HBC Ab positive and followed with HBV PCR positive

- CMV IgM positive or borderline and followed with CMV PCR Position

 

NOTE: Common contraindications are listed, in case of disease or taking medicine out of this list in family(mother, father, sister and/or brother), medical consultation is necessary.
